Event mentions – What’s On
NHR provides a “What’s On” service, which is broadcast to the patients and staff. It provides information about local non-profit making, non-political and non-religious events (such as school fairs), which may be of interest to our audience. It is updated on a weekly basis and is broadcast every day at regular intervals.
We are always looking for people and organisations who wish to have an event mentioned on air, so if you or your organisation have an event you’d like the patients and staff to know about, then please contact us using the contact details below.
It would be greatly appreciated if you can let us know at least two weeks before the event is due to take place, in order for it to be included in time, as the feature is updated once a week.
You should, however, be aware that sending us details of your event, does not guarantee that it will be mentioned. Each even is judged by NHR as to its relevance to our audience.

How to Listen
If you are an in-patient at any Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Hospital, you can listen to NHR – free of charge – on the bedside entertainment system, provided by Spark TSL.
